Why Us?

Mandela Children's Learning Village is a unique space. We are unorthodox institution which is usually a plus. We service children and families who require and/or demand quality education. We can challenge students who are bored in traditional settings, as well as foster and motivate students that can not work or compete in overcrowded public schools. Our unique space allows a relaxed, yet stimulating environment. Whether we are out at the pool, on the lawn, sitting at our desks, or on the classroom floor. This experience is the answer to a school system that often times misses the mark. Children are taught the tools that are necessary to sustain them for life. They are given a holistic education that includes much more than the classroom academics: they learn gardening, housekeeping, money management, nutrition, and they are exposed to cultural experiences with monthly field trips. We have been in Compton, CA for 35 years, in the Richland Farms area the last 20 years in the same location.
